A Group button represents a collection of local media buttons that are combined together to send to Program. For instance: if the user wants to always show a certain sponsor bug with a video, then a Group Button that holds both the video media button and the sponsor bug can be created.

A Group can also be used to launch media on multiple local Players at the same time. This allows the user to set up a β€˜Moment of Exclusivity’ where they can send specific content to all outputs at the same time to change the look of the venue.

To create a Group Button, right-click an empty media button in the media page and select Create Group. The Group Button Editor displays:

NOTE

A Group is like a Remote with two differences:

  • It only uses Media Buttons located in its own Media Banks.
  • It allows the user to place the items into Preview before going to Program (Remotes go straight to Program).
