1.0 - Charts Overviewο»Ώ

Charts superusers at the Group and Station level can enable Charts Animations for users in their organization. Once the animation is enabled, the user can create news graphics animation that move across a map or zoom in to a specific area.

Begin by completing the top portion of the Charts module.

  1. Enter a Headline in the Headline field - This will be the text displayed in the headline section of the graphic.
  2. Enter a Subject in the Subject field - This will be the text displayed in the Subject section.
  3. Enter Data Attributes - will be displayed at the bottom of the graph an attribute.

The middle section Data Labels and Values add information inside the graph.

  • Graphs Option A, B and C and right column for Number of Units inside the graph 25, 30, and 10. Axis can support up to six labels per chart.

2.0 - Chart Type

  • Vertical Charts are displayed as bar graph as shown in below screenshot. Other options are Horizontal and Pie Charts.
  • Use Label Angle up or down arrow to set angle and Value Alignment to select placement of the value.

Once all settings have been selected, then:

  1. Enter a Title
  2. Enter Keywords
  3. Select a Project
  4. Select Style
  5. Click Assemble Still button.

3.0 - Chart User Settings

User settings allows the superuser to assign permission to group users to create chart animations.

  1. Click Charts dropdown menu.
  2. Click User Settings button.
  3. Check the Charts Animations box to enable a user to create Charts Animations.Β 
  4. Click Save button.
