Two large monitors are at the top of the interface. The monitor on the left is for Preview and is outlined in green. (LIVE always uses green to reference the preview state). Content in this monitor is ready to output. The monitor on the right is for Program and is outlined in red. (LIVE uses red to reference the live state). This is content that is currently in your output. The Preview and Program monitors are available in all views of LIVE.

On the right LIVE displays controls to access views for dedicated purposes, including the Switcher view (for selecting video sources), the Browser view (for organizing assets and creating playlists), the Playout view, shown in the image above (for managing your entire live production), the Replay and Telestration view (for creating and illustrating replay clips), and finally, the Audio view ( for managing audio levels and mixes).

At the bottom of the interface, LIVE displays a multiviewer of all the available video inputs. Here, you can view a real-time preview of the content available as well as select sources. This multiviewer is available in all views of LIVE.

On the left of the interface, LIVE displays your playlists. You can build these playlists to suit your production, by dragging and dropping assets such asΒ graphics or clips from the browser.Β

In the center of the screen, in the Playout view, LIVE displays items ready for playout. You can drag and drop items from your playlist to the appropriate channels here, in order to preview and then play them. In other views, this center area displays other dedicated tools, to be covered in later sections. In other views, this area displays task-specific tools. For example, in the Browser view, this is where you can see graphical scenes, images, clips, playlists and replays. In the Telestration view, this is where you can add illustrative arrows, spotlights and more over your live video.
